In the second half of 2024, Google made its Pixel 9 Android smartphone lineup. The Google Pixel 9 starts at $799, bringing its Gemini AI to the forefront. While all the AI headers we offer aren’t fully absorbed, the Google Pixel is still one of the best Android phones. Now, Google is expanding its Pixel 9 lineup to include the Pixel 9a, an entry-level option for budget-friendly people.
The Google Pixel 9A starts at $499, which is $300 less than the Pixel 9 price. It has a Google Tensor G4 processor, the same as the Google Tensor G4 processor in the Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 (a proprietary design used to power Gemini AI). It has two storage options, namely 128 or 256GB, and four color options, namely iris, peony, porcelain and obsidian.
It promises 30 hours of battery life and will support seven years of pixel updates and ensures you don’t have to swap smartphones in just a few years.
The most unique design feature of the Google Pixel 9a is the rear camera. It doesn’t have the same camera bar found on the Google Pixel 9. Instead, it has a completely flat back so the camera is flush with the chassis. The camera itself has a 48 MP main camera and a 13 MP speeding camera.
