Stuart Cink wins Tour Championship season-ending event points title

PHOENIX — Stuart Cink clinched the Charles Schwab Cup season points title on Sunday by winning the PGA Tour Champions season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship at Phoenix Country Club.
Cink finished with a 4-under 67 for a final score of 20-under 264, two strokes ahead of third-round leader Steven Alker, who is also second in the season standings. Alke shot 70 on the par-5 18th hole and had a bogey.
Cink, 52, won for the third time this season and fourth in 36 career starts on the Over-50 Tour. He has eight wins on the PGA Tour, highlighted by a playoff victory over Tom Watson at the 2009 British Open.
Freddie Jacobson (66), Jerry Kelly (67) and Tommy Gainey (68) tied for third at 15 under.
