“Our Last” Will Be Tonight: When to Watch Season 2, Episode 4

Our last season is halfway through. The video game adaptation won fans in its first season, proving that it has lasting power. The second part offers another epic, exciting moment.

Instead of starting the first season, our final season jumped for five years five years ago to see if the relationship between Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) has ushered in the well-known storm. Five years later, a lot of things can happen, but curing Cordyceps virus is not one of them. The infection will only spread further, making the American landscape even more deadly.

Video game fans should note: Our last new season won’t recreate the original theme beats of Beat. Writer, director and executive producer Neil Druckmann discussed the reasons for this creative choice at a virtual press conference in the series attended by CNET.

Empathy is the first reason – building an emotional connection with certain characters and their storylines requires changing the narrative structure to create bets for the audience. This connection appears more naturally when you step on the character’s shoes while playing the game.

Time is another reason. “If we stick to a very similar schedule, the audience will have to wait a long time to get this situation,” Druckman said. The context is key, and in all respects, the strategy is working. Season 1 broke the ratings of viewership, and the days before Season 2 premiered, HBO renewed our last season.

Gabriel Luna, Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Young Mazino, Catherine O’Hara and Rutina Wesley also starred in the series. Read on to learn when to stream and check out the release schedule for Season 2 of America’s Last Season 2.
