Over 700 classic Looney Tunes shorts rescued from Warner Bros. Now stream for free

They once defined American animation, but over the past 30 years, Rooney’s tunes have gradually faded from the media landscape, and the entire generations have mainly learned them Space jam. All this changed after Warner Bros. discovered news that CEO David Zaslav. Coyote and Acmewhich may also be the trigger word to activate a long-standing tortured fan base. Capturing this moment, Toubi has become the unlikely savior, not only broadcasting the underrated crime in 2011 Looney Tunes Showbut there are 700 episodes in the original Rooney Tuned Shorts, most of which have never been able to stream.
Starting with the 1931 “Smile, Darn Ya, Smile” featured Foxy, Tubi Collection Bundles, the average three shorts were split into 22 minutes. It covers American animation’s evolution from musical shorts in the 30s and 40s to bugs and Duffy’s heights from the 40s to the 60s, ending in 2003’s shorts.
Warner Bros sits on this treasure without offering it to the public, a crime against art. Now, the question for fans is where to start exploring the series?
Start watching with a turtle jumping hare
One of my personal favorites is the “Turtle Beating Hare” which started in 1941, including episode 63 of Tubi’s Looney Tunes Collection. In this retelling of the classic fable, Bugs Bunny plays Cecil The Tortoise in a game, but “Cecil” keeps appearing in front of him as he runs fast. Stand up a roadblock? Cecil was there. Take out the bridge? Cecil was there.
Cecil is shown as all of his turtle friends and relatives who drive crazy bugs throughout the short tempo, which is summoned by one of the turtles while resting on the fourth wall. In short, reminding you that it was originally Bugs Bunny and a bit of a jerk, so seeing him go crazy, getting his company is fun and satisfying. This is not my best short choice, but as a starting point, it’s a great introduction to my best team period.
The best Looney Tunes episodes on Tubi
pound, my favorite episode in the Tubi’s series, is Episode 158, which includes the 1953 shorts “Duck Amuck/Zipping along the 24½ Century Duck Dodgers”, revealing the first short “Duck Amuck”, which, as my personal choice, is my personal choice.
It starts with Daffy as one of three musketeers and then tortures Daffy’s animators by redrawing the world around them quickly turn into a surreal cartoon. To say this short breakthrough, the fourth wall would be an understatement.
From a minute on, the fourth wall no longer exists, as the hatred between Duffy and the invisible animator escalates until he flies the plane into the mountain and is blown up by shells, combining farce comedy with a philosophical atmosphere about the nature of reality.
The episode also includes a road runner and Wile E. Coyote Classic, and even if he wants to eat a road runner, you can’t help feeling a little bad about the coyote. Remind us Coyote and Acme It’s a brilliant concept for the movie and why fans can’t wait to think of it’s finally released, thanks to Ketchup Entertainment, which is the studio, which is also behind the scenes of the recent small-scale hits The day when the earth explodedits “Duck Dodge in the 24½ Century” foundation is also part of the series.
It was two in a parody of Daffy Duck’s parody of Buck Rogers, which also made him the first confrontation against Marvin, two battles for Planet X. Tubi’s collection is filled with hundreds of shorts that are bound to become someone’s new favorite, from the first appearance of pork pigs to Sylvester and Twitter and Tweety, Speed Gonzalez, and even Foghorn Leghorn, which is why Looney Tunes is considered a big part of animation history. Thanks to grass-roots, fan leaders’ efforts saved the weird music, the new generation will appreciate the eternal attraction of the entire gang.
