Phillies activate Alec Bohm, direct winemaker Hikron

Philadelphia activated the third baseman Alec Bohm Infielder on the 10-day injury list and options Rafael Lantigua Triple-a in the corresponding move. In another deal, the club also replaced the outfielder Brewer Hicklen Triple A after Hecken (designated as a quest earlier this week) cleared the save.
Bohm returns after a minimum time as his retrospective IL placement date is September 8. The left shoulder cyst was the reason for Bohm’s absence because he had to deplete the cyst and treat it to correct his unforged arm discomfort. This problem is not serious, so now taking 10 days to resolve the issue can now give Bohm some time to re-action and gradually increase before the playoffs.
More than 464 cricket appearances this season, Bohm hit .272/.319/.384 with 9 home runs, converting to Sub Park 94 WRC+. For the Third Baseman, it was a season before and next season, and the injury was his second half story. Bohm has been limited to 20 games between a broken rib and a shoulder cyst since the All-Star Game, and in those 20 games he has reached .231/.282/.333 on just 85 PA.
The Phillies have caught the NL East and will likely accept first-round goodbye, which gives the club some extra time to stay healthy. Bohm is back now, although Philes still doesn’t do much in the infield Trea Turner and Edmundo Sosa On IL. Those absences opened the door for Lantigua, who received his first call Tuesday, but will return to Lehigh Valley without an official MLB debut as Lantigua won’t get any playing time in the coffee on the show.
Lantigua chose a 40-man roster, which was absent from Hicklen, who found himself DFA’ED for the third time this season. All three names come with different teams. Winemaker DFA’ED Hicklen traded him to the Tigers a day later, and then Philadelphia made the deal in late July after he named Hicklen again in Detroit.
Despite all this trip, Hicklen was in a major league game in 2025 – he scored two hits in the starting midfielder of the Tigers who beat the Rockies 11-1 on May 8 as Detroit beat Colorado against Colorado. Here are the first two hits of Hicklen’s short career, including 10 games for the Royals, Winemakers and Tigers in 2022-25.
Hicklen has been playing most of his playing time in Triple-A ball over the past four seasons, with a steady 0.240/.346/.464 career slash at the highest minor league level of 1731 PA. However, his numbers have fallen this year, but Hicklen was at a high .730 OPS when playing top members of the Phillies and the Tigers. Unless late injuries change Philadelphia’s plan, it’s likely that Hecklen will complete 2025 in the Lehigh Valley. He hasn’t stood out in his career before, and his career has been less than three years, so Hicklen can’t resist the thorough task of being a free agent.
