“Phoenici Project” trailer: Wes Anderson’s fascinating international plot to cook

according to Phoenician ProjectZSA-ZSA’s first trailer has nine sons and a daughter, a nun named Liesel (Mia Threeapleton). During his first meeting with Liesl in six years, he told her that he made her the sole heir to his legacy and that she might make money soon.
ZSA-ZSA tells a skeptical Liesl. “I have my reasons.”
“What is what?” she asked.
“My reason? I’m not saying it,” ZSA-ZSA retorted. “I mean I’m not saying it.”
The trailer is full of such fascinating recursive conversations, along with other visual Anderson trademarks such as hard symmetry, tracking footage and elaborate suits. It also reveals Korda’s master plan: the Korda Land and Sea Phoenician Infrastructure Program, the most important project of ZSA-ZSA’s life.
ZSA-ZSA will face opposition from other industry leaders, so he brings Liesl and their mentor Bjorn (Michael Cera) a journey to achieve the plan. Next up is expected to be a crazy story of nightclub robbery, grenades and Tom Hanks.
In addition to Del Toro, Treapleton and Cera, Phoenician Project Featured is an All-Star roster, many of whom return to Anderson players. They are: Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Mathieu Amalric, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend and Hope Davis.
