Prince Andrew asked to testify about Jeffrey Epstein after losing title
The U.S. government has requested Andrew Mountbatten Windsor To be questioned about his relationship with the deceased Jeffrey Epstein After he lost the title.
Democrats on the House Oversight Committee sent a letter to Andrew, 65, on Thursday, Nov. 6, asking him to “cooperate” in the investigation into Epstein’s “sex trafficking activities,” according to documents obtained by the committee. US Weekly.
“The committee is working to identify Mr. Epstein’s co-conspirators and enablers and understand the full scope of his criminal activities,” the letter reads. “The well-documented allegations against you, as well as your long-standing friendship with Mr. Epstein, suggest you may have knowledge of his activities related to our investigation.”
Andrew stripped of royal titles by younger brother king charles iii Last month for his previous association with a convicted sex offender. Although Epstein died in prison in 2019 while awaiting federal sex trafficking charges, the investigation into his co-conspirators remains ongoing.
“In the interest of justice for Jeffrey Epstein’s victims, we ask that you cooperate with the Committee’s investigation and submit to a recorded interview with the Committee,” the letter continued.
The committee noted that it was “publicly reported” that Andrew’s friendship with Epstein began in 1999 and that they “remained a close relationship” after his 2008 conviction for “promoting prostitution of a minor.”
The letter gave Andrew until Thursday, November 20, to respond to the committee’s request due to the “urgency and seriousness of the matter”.

Andrew, who until last month was known as Prince Andrew, was introduced to Epstein by his associates in the 1990s Ghislaine Maxwell. (Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors, including children as young as 14.)
