Putin announces Navy’s billion dollar rescheduling plan

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced billions of dollars in investment to enable a re-attack of his country’s navy.

“In the next decade, Putin said at the St. Petersburg Naval Development Conference on Friday, “In the next decade, there are 8.4 trillion rubles (about $97 billion) dedicated to building new ships and vessels for the Navy,” the Russian news agency said. ”

Putin said the fleet’s new and re-equipped equipment was due to new dangers and challenges. He mentioned the development of drones and robotics technology, digitalization, and the political situation in the world.

He did not specifically resolve the war against Ukraine, and he began, in which many ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet were sunk.

Instead, he praised the fleet’s so far. He claimed that in the past five years, 49 warships of various classes have been built in Russian shipyards, including nuclear submarines that can be equipped with new zircon ultrasonic missiles.
