Residents evacuate before the German power station demolishes and explodes
Local authorities say about 830 residents near the coal-fired power station closed by Ibn Brun, Germany, had evacuated before the explosion on Sunday.
Residents should accommodate explosions in central facilities, which will lower a 120-meter boiler room, followed by a 125-meter cooling tower.
A police spokesman said the evacuation had been carried out based on Sunday morning schedule.
The site will be ready for a substation in the summer of 2026 to convert the wind power generated by the North Sea to the German grid.
