What was your pre-performance ceremony?
Quiet in the background. My band and I were almost quiet about ourselves, all over the cro bones until 10 minutes before we got on stage, then we filmed the tequila and kept moving forward.
Is Instagram hotel robes part of the ceremony?
[Die-hard fans know that the singer-songwriter typically posts a cheeky photo of himself in a hotel robe via Instagram Stories on show days.]If we were all day, yes. I woke up and hoped I could go for something like running and then I made pictures of the robe and I had to eat as much as I could before going to the location because the green room wasn’t always always [stocked]. I tried to get all the nutrients before going to the location because there wasn’t there.
Have you become a connoisseur of hotel robes?
I personally don’t care, but I’d say it’s the first thing I checked when I enter the room. Otherwise, I have to be creative. But in my opinion, 99% of hotels have robes.
What are your former riders?
Just as boring as our pre-ritual. The new thing we do is Jiang Jing. Our immunity is very small and very interesting. We have Celsius [energy drinks]Unfortunately, if each of us dies. Tequila, food, peanut butter and jelly-style stuff. We have bread and if we aren’t anywhere, sometimes there’s a deli thing. and a fruit plate.

Do you have your favorite songs live?
I think it will be the new luxury album, if not the whole luxury, but the current stuff – probably my favorite “Writing on the Wall”.
Do you have an ideal after-sales party?
No. [We] sleep. We are not big drinkers or parties.
Unless we are in a place like New York or Los Angeles, I love going to bed.
I really don’t like eating S***, but sometimes do we order pizza? must. However, I’m bored. After the show, I will have a protein bar.
Do you have the most embarrassing moments on the stage?
I’ve always forgotten the lyrics. I’ll forget every show of the lyrics, which isn’t awkward at this point. Now that’s just part of the show, it’s expected. Luckily, fans will help me, so this is not the worst thing to do.
Do you feel nervous before the show?
no longer. I’m fine now. I’ll get the worst stomachache [shows] Back to the day. It’s just the worst stomachache all day and I can’t eat it. That’s what gets nervous all day, and whenever I’m personally nervous, I don’t have an appetite, which is probably why I didn’t look like a second-hand cigarette until a year ago.
Do you have shocking fan interactions?
At a recent show in Australia, the lesbian couple asked me to be their sperm donor and had the logo on the show, and I was just full. I was flattered. This is my first one. Maybe one day I can actually help them, and it’s more than just an empty promise. Who knows?
Do you have lucky items on your trip?
Neema [Sadeghi]our travel photographer won a resilient ball while touring Gracie, Texas, and it stayed in my bag, and every show toured with me. I told him I still have it. But in terms of superstition, it’s just a resilient ball. I don’t give it ***, but it’s always with me.
Do you have other souvenirs that you cherish?
I do. I kept a lot of letters that meant a lot to me. I’m letting them spread around my house now. I have also owned fan books all year round since 2019. On every tour, there is a book that they call a fan project- when they all put in and write a letter, memory or something or photo and put it in this huge book, three or four I like to keep.
