Rory McIlroy promises to compete in DP World Tour India Championship

Rory McIlroy promised to compete in the first Indian champion of the DP World Tour, his first professional competition in the country.
The $4 million event will be held at the Delhi Golf Club from October 16 to September 19. It will be held three weeks after the Ryder Cup ends.
“I’m happy not only serve in India for the first time, but also visit a country I’ve always wanted to explore,” McIlroy said in a press release.
“I have always loved playing the global schedule and as I said before, there is a great potential for further development of golf in the country. It’s a great opportunity and I can’t wait to play in front of Indian golf fans.”
McIlroy, 36, completed his professional grand slam with his master victory last month. He ranks second in the official world golf rankings.
