Tiger Woods announces that he has ruptured Achilles, undergoes surgery

Tiger Woods Repair is being done after undergoing ruptured Achilles tendon surgery.
“When I started to strengthen my training and practice at home, I felt left follow-up was a severe pain and was considered to be ruptured,” Woods, 49, posted via Instagram on Tuesday, March 11.
Woods has not competed in professional competitions since the open championship at Royal Troon Golf Club in July 2024, where he missed the layoffs.
The 15-time main champion had surgery Tuesday morning Dr. Charlton Stucken Special surgical hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. The wood has been repaired with minimally invasive Achilles tendons, rupturing with the ruptured tendon.
“The surgery went well and we hoped to recover completely.”
Woods’ social media update concluded: “I’m back home now and plan to focus on rehabilitation and recovery, thank you for all your support.”
Setbacks could prevent Woods from competing in the Masters, which will begin April 10.
Woods was scheduled to play in the 2025 Genesis Invitational in February, but he quit a few days before starting the game after his mother’s death. Kultida Woods.
Tiger posted via Instagram on February 10: “I plan to play this week, but I’m not ready yet. I try to prepare and know that’s what my mom wants, but I’m still dealing with her losses.”

He continued: “Thank you to all who have reached out. I hope to be in Tori [Pines] Later this week, there was continued kindness since my mom passed away. ”
Tiger announced his mother’s death via Instagram on February 4.
“I want to share what I passed away this morning by Kultida Woods, whom I want to share my sorrow,” he wrote. “My mother herself is a force of nature, and her spirit is simply undeniable. She quickly smiled. She is my biggest fan and greatest supporter, and it would be impossible without her personal achievements.”
Tiger added: “She has received a lot of love, but especially her two grandchildren, Sam and Charlie. Thank you for your support, prayer and privacy to me and my family during this difficult time. Love your mom.”

The tiger did not disclose the cause of death for his 78-year-old mother.
