Although we like the Sonos audio lineup (from their high-end note bar to their Bluetooth speakers to their first headphones), we don’t like the steep price. The best smart speakers in 2025
The ERA 300 was the first Sonos speakers to support spatial audio, which led Mashable’s Stan Schroeder to think it was “the king of smart speakers for under $500.” It’s not the most beautiful speaker, but it’s full of beautiful audio technology, including six amplifiers, four tweeters and two woofers. It also has Sonos voice control as well as the ability to customize sound in Alexa, Sonos apps, and seamlessly connect with Sonos’ other audio products. It doesn’t require anything else, though. As Schroeder said in his comments, “it produces a single person that can often match larger speakers, and even the entire hi-fi system.”
Mixable transactions
While it’s not as easy to use as Apple’s HomePod and requires an adapter to connect to the 3.5mm jack, we’re willing to ignore the absolutely thriving sound of these flaws. Enjoy a rare $90 discount for a limited time at the retailer of your choice.
