Scottie Scheffler will have new faces on bags at BMW Championship
Scottie Scheffler will compete for this week’s BMW Championship to PGA Tour Communications Seeld Sight Susecott Caddy Scott on Tuesday.
Scott took the first three rounds for Scheffler with his bags at the FedEx St. Jude Championship last week, before returning to his home in Louisiana Saturday night for a family emergency. Scheffler lagged behind third-round leader Tommy Fleetwood and made two shots into the final round.

Pastor PGA Tour Tour and close Scheffler family friend Brad Payne drove from his home in Dallas to Memphis to Caddy for the final round of Scheffler. This is Payne’s second time in recent months, carrying Scheffler’s bag in the third round of the 2024 PGA Championship when Scott graduated from high school for his daughter. Scheffler shot 67 in the final round of the Memphis final game to finish T3, which wasn’t just a playoff between Justin Rose and JJ Spaun. Ross ended up having the upper hand.
Scott will stay at home with his family this week, while Scheffler brings a new face: Michael Cromie regularly plays for Chris Kirk, who will pick up Scheffler’s bag in Caves Valley.
Kirk finished T9 at Fedex St. Jude last week, but that wasn’t enough to push him into the top 50 of the field this week. Instead, he ended up being shy on the 51st time. This means Kirk will take a break in the next few weeks until the start of FedEx Cup Fall, a seven-game series that begins in September and begins in Napa, California.
FedEx Cup points are worth four times worth the BMW Championship this week.
