Several people held in Lancaster after the body was found in U-Haul truck

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies detained several people Sunday after they found a body inside a U-Haul truck in Lancaster.
Homicide detectives say the investigation is in an early stage and the person who refused to determine the deceased or said whether they suspected a foul.
Deputies headed to the Shadow Park Hotel on Sera Highway at 1:49 a.m. in response to reports of missing persons, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Department. The motel’s security video shows U-Haul left the house before deputies arrived, and deputies tracked it a short distance away.
“When they approached the U-Haul truck, they looked at a large trash can in the freight area behind the truck and observed the deceased.”
Deputies detained unspecified numbers.
The motel manager did not return the call immediately.
