Shai Gilgeous-Alexander reacts to fight Wolves 2-0

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander showed exactly why he just won the MVP, dropping 38 points the day after he won the league’s highest honor.

The Thunder once again rolled up the Timberwolves at 118-103 at Paycom Center Thursday night, and now they are only two wins away from the NBA Finals berth.

Shai is everywhere, after he finished 13-15 from the field 12-21, plus eight assists and three steals, of course, celebrating your trophy before tipping in front of a noisy family crowd isn’t a bad thing.

“I feel like all my emotions are high, but I’m a little tired, especially at the beginning,” “I’m a little too squeezed. Special moments. I’m so glad we won, so I can really enjoy the past few days and soak. It really helps.”

Jalen Williams added 22 points to OKC with a strong performance of 26 points, 10 hits.

In two games, the Thunder surpassed Minnesota by a total of 41 points. For context only – When a team won the first two games of the series with 15 points, matches in history: 44 of the last 48 teams at the location won the victory.

“When you win the game, you do it together and you have fun there,” Gilgeous-Alexander said. “Everything else, all the personal stuff you want, comes with it.”

For the Wolves, Anthony Edwards led by 32 points, even though it took him 26 to get there. Jaden McDaniels increased by 22 and Nickeil Alexander-Walker increased by 17.

Shai ended the first half with a two-thirds dagger and then knocked down two free throws before the buzzer, giving OKC a 58-50 lead. He had 19 before the end of the half.

Minnesota coach Chris Finch is not excited about his team’s end of the second quarter, and his team will need to do more games in Game 3 to stop a game.

“Our ending is not very good,” he said. “I think if we were going to end half better, then we wouldn’t be on the edge of the third razor as a razor.”
