June 13: Angels announced today that they chose an infield prospect contract Christian Moore And recalling right-handed Sam Bachman. In the corresponding move, the outfielder Matthew Lugo Has been selected as Triple Salt Lake and the correct one Sean Anderson Has been assigned as a job. Anderson, 30, has been on the Angels’ roster this year. He signed a minor league contract during the offseason and was called in early May. He was designated as a mission later that month, cleared the waiver, was elected as a free agent, re-signed with the club, and was added back to the roster a few days ago. In these trades, he recorded 10 2/3 innings in six games. He allowed 16 hits to get nine runs, and took three walks while hitting 10 opponents.
Broadly speaking, Anderson is often able to propose decent A numbers that are not translated into major leagues. He made his major league debut in 2019 and now has 162 2/3 innings in his game, with an average of 6.20. In the same time frame, he has 3.93 ERAs in 307 three-frameworks. He also spent a season in South Korea and set up a 3.76 ERA there.
Since he had no choice, he could not be easily sent back to the minor. The last time he lost his roster in the halo, he cleared the saving throws and hovered back to them, so the same sequence could appear over the next few days.
