Shopify and surely paid installments at launch shops in Canada

Shopify is a commercial platform that provides a basic internet infrastructure, and payment network acknowledges has accelerated its global expansion.

Now, Canadian Shopify merchants can use it early and have the option to offer store salary installments, a service confirmed to provide customers.

This is the first time this product has been available outside the United States.

The availability of the store payment period will be expanded to all Shopify merchants in Canada and the UK by the summer of 2025.

Subsequent developments will introduce cross-border transaction capabilities in the US, Canada and UK markets.

Kaz Nejatian, Chief Operating Officer, Shopify, said: “We are excited to arrive in Canada as early as possible to pay installments, which is the first step beyond us.

“Our partnership with affirmation has expanded our global reach, enabling shopper flexibility to grow over time and driving higher conversion rates for businesspeople around the world.”

A strategic alliance between Shopify and Sunstrive is expected to be launched soon with France, Germany and the Netherlands.

Acknowledge the desire to interact with local clients, business partners, financial institutions and regulators in pursuit of penetration in international markets.

With each new market paid installment payment, local merchants will be able to activate the product directly from their Shopify Admin dashboard without additional development or technology integration.

Customers will have the opportunity to allocate eligible purchases to biweekly or monthly payments upon approval. Custom payment plans will offer interest rates starting from 0% in April and shoppers will be free of delays or hidden fees.

Confirmed Founder and CEO Max Levchin said: “The U.S. Trust has millions of shoppers and relied on store payments. Today’s launch in Canada marks a further expansion of our global presence – first with Shopify merchants, and soon after with our integrated merchants in the UK, Europe and Australia.”

Absiss Retail recently launched a new integration with Shopify’s Commerce Platform, providing store owners with tools to address returns and claim fraud.
