Smoky Robinson is accused of sexual assault by 4 women in lawsuit

Smoky Robinson Four women were charged with sexual assault.

According to court documents US Weeklyfour women (choose Jane Doe) filed a lawsuit against Robinson on Tuesday, May 6. The former Motown Records executive, 85, has been charged with sexual assault, assault, false imprisonment, gender violence and has created a hostile work environment by women allegedly working.

The women also sued Robinson for failing to pay the minimum wage and overtime, failing to provide rest and meals, and inaccurate wage statements.

Jane Doe 1 said in the document that she served as the steward of Robinson and his wife Frances GladneyFrom January 2023 to February 2024, on their residence in Chatsworth, California. She claimed that she was forced to resign due to Robinson’s “repeated sexual assault and harassment against her.”

During his weekend work, Jane Doy 1 claimed that Robinson allegedly brought Gladney, 72, to the nail salon and “rush home to know he would be home alone”.

Jane Da 1 claimed that Robinson would “put a white towel on the bed” and then allegedly attacked Jane Doy 1. Jane Doe 1 claims she will “protest and resist” Robinson’s progress and remind him that he is married. She claimed the incidents had occurred “at least seven times.”

Jane Doe 2 also served as housekeepers at Robinson and Gladney from May 2014 to February 2020. She claimed that she resigned due to allegedly suspected of sexual assault on Robinson, the first incident in 2016.

According to Jane Doe 2, Robinson texted her to meet in a room with “no camera”. When Jane Doe 2 arrived, Robinson allegedly would “catch her, start penetrating her vagina with his fingers, causing her pain, and then continue raping her.” The alleged attack took place “at least 23 different occasions.”

Jane completed three times as Robinson’s housekeeper from 2012 to 2024. She resigned after alleged abuse and claimed it was “in most of the work throughout the work.”

Similar to Jane Doe 11’s alleged account, Jane Doe 3 claims Robinson puts a towel on the bed and then does sexual intercourse. She claimed Robinson forced her to “face her lying on a towel so that he could penetrate her vagina with his back penis”. She claimed it was “at least 20 times.”

Like women before, Jane Doe 4 worked as a housekeeper before becoming Gladney’s personal assistant, chef and hairdresser. She worked for the couple from 2006 to 2024 and resigned for Robinson’s alleged behavior. Jane Doe 4 claims that the first sexual misconduct happened in 2007 when she accompanied Robinson to his Las Vegas home where he allegedly raped her.

According to Jane Doe 4, the alleged attack took place at the Las Vegas House, among other locations, including the home of Chatsworth in Robinson and the temporary residence in Bell Canyon, California.

Women are seeking $50 million in losses.
