Oilers get Jones from Brown Bears | theahl.com

Edmonton Oilers have won the forward Trent Frederic and Max Jones and forward rights Petr Hauser (via New Jersey) From Boston Bruins in exchange for defenseman Max Wanner2025 second round draft pick and 2026 fourth round draft pick.

Jones spent most of the season on the AHL’s Promidence Bruises, scoring 21 points in 38 games with 13 goals and eight assists. He also competed in seven NHL games with Boston.

Jones is a seventh-year professional, scoring 29 goals and 23 assists in 89 professional AHL games against Providence and San Diego, with 52 points. Jones was selected by Anaheim in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft (24th overall), with 31 goals and 31 assists for 62 points in 265 professional NHL games against the Ducks and Bruins.

Wanner is his second professional season to be selected by the Oiler in the seventh round of the 2021 NHL Draft. He has scored one goal and one assist in 22 games against AHL’s Bakersfield Condors in 22 games, scoring seven goals and 10 assists in 68 games in 2023-24 rookies.
