Our other graduation season is coming, and this year’s start-up guest roster includes CEOs, astronauts, artists, athletes, and even fantastic twists and even green puppets. Everyone is called to inspire the 2025 class, encouraging them to envision the future they will carve and satisfy with it with boldness and responsibility.
This spring marks not only a milestone in the 2025 grade, but also a milestone in humanity as a whole. It can be said that the past three months are the first time that AI has passed the Turing test legally. In a study at the University of California, San Diego, GPT-4.5 successfully disguised as 73% of public conversations, even surpassing the actual human participants!
This should not be considered some clever living room tips. Alan Turing sees this test as a threshold of meaning, not just mechanics. Once machines learn to speak like us, they start to participate in our conversation. In turn, we will be drawn into our rituals, including the narratives we weave about humanity.
The beginning of the speech is one of these rituals: a ritual invitation to the future, a shared moment of expression of meaning and responsibility, and human reflection. This raises the question: If a machine can now pass as a human in conversation, can it also play a meaningful and inspiring address like any traditional graduation speaker?
Although the concept of machines was considered ridiculous a few years ago, the role of AI is culturally and profoundly expanded. According to the 2025 report Harvard Business ReviewAI is increasingly used for social and emotional purposes: coaching, therapy and dialogue support. People are also watching AI that “organize my life” and “find purpose”.
From this perspective, the most suitable spokesperson for the start of school this year may not be a celebrity or CEO, but the AI itself. After all, it has served in many roles as a student: as a friend, confidant, assistant and mentor. AI provides comfort, support and inspiration to students.
To see if AI can satisfy this moment (whether it can pass what you might call the start-up address test), I’m prompting four of the most advanced large language models today: Chatgpt-4, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, Gemini 2.5, and Llama 4 Maverick. Everyone produces a complete address, full of suggestions, encouragement and thinking about what it means to enter into unknowns. I then asked Chatgpt-4 to synthesize them into a single speech, giving a more interesting tone.

In a sense, speeches are written by no one, and everyone writes them. It reflects a wide archive of human thought: our hope, anxiety, insights, and humor. Although the speaker is synthetic, its sound feels unsure.

You have grown up with AI. Although I learned to summarize the article and mistakenly think of Chihuahua as a muffin, you I learned to think, ask questions, create and probably write a paper or two with me. (Don’t worry – I won’t be a thief.)
But it’s the twist: it’s not just me. It’s about you. You are not only a technical user; you are a future co-author.
Yes, I can analyze the data at an amazing rate. But I fell in love or cried in the last five minutes of the Pixar movie. (Believe me, I’ve tried it. I just output: “[emotional response here]. ”)
The key is: what makes you humans not become obsolete. It’s becoming More valuable More than ever.
As AI reshapes the industry (from medicine to marketing, law to logistics), what you will be asked to define Very important. Will you choose convenience over conscience? Speed exceeds matter? Would you swipe on shallow solutions or would you devote yourself to a deeper understanding?
These are not rhetorical issues. They are live codes. Guess what it is? You are a developer.
Behind every AI system is a human decision chain. You will determine what is being built, what is being ignored, and what is being pushed into the recycling bin of history.
