Stephen A. Smith accuses LeBron of racial double standards

Stephen A. Smith made explosive accusations against LeBron James and their ongoing feud.

The two men have refrained from pointing fingers at each other over the past few months following a heated exchange at Madison Square Garden.

However, Smith reignited the flames after he claimed James’ treatment of certain members of the media was racially influenced.

“Have you ever seen LeBron attack a white boy?” SAS said on The Pivot Podcast. “Let’s put it this way. Did you see him do that? You’re going to say you saw him come toward me,” Smith said.

Smith immediately contradicted himself by noting that LeBron has been critical of white reporter Brian Windhorst in the past.

“You saw him coming towards me. You’ve seen him do something like this, this is the closest you’ve come in a while [to a white journalist] “Smith continued. “Why did you call Brian Windhorst? This man has been following you since junior high and has praised you many times, yet you use the Pat McAfee situation to attack him. [T]This is the only time you see LeBron James actually attack white people. I’ll just call it that. “

Smith went on to address his comments about Bronny James, which led to a courtside altercation.

“LeBron is wrong and he will always be wrong,” Smith said. “As far as I’m concerned, anybody in this industry or anybody who wants to be in this industry, especially athletes who don’t see the podcast, well, just think they’re being blind or unethical. Because anybody who has a work ethic and understands sports and knows the consequences that come with that, they know I didn’t do anything wrong to that young man. But to paint me as someone who’s going to attack a kid just because I don’t like you. That’s lowbrow. That’s lowbrow. That’s it, that’s it. Where it’s going to stay.

“The only reason I’m saying that is because you asked me, it’s because of how I feel and I’m not going to change it. If he doesn’t say anything, I’m not going to say anything. I’m just doing my job. If there’s another confrontation, I promise you, I’ll be better prepared this time, better prepared. I promise you that.”
