TCL’s new mini LED TVs offer higher peak brightness and better contrast than earlier models

TCL just launched a new TV in its precise Dimming series. The QM7K is a mini LED TV that is a follow-up to the recently released QM6K. It uses the company’s Halo Control Technology Suite, the entire name of a series of adjustments the company makes to the scheduling and image quality of its mini LEDs.

The company says the QM7K has a higher peak brightness than its predecessor and new reflective panels. TCL also promises “enhanced color accuracy, grayscale accuracy” and “little bloom.” This is thanks to the company’s ultra-high-energy LED chip, which combines high brightness with improved light efficiency, and an ultra-condensing microlens that use “narrower light paths for more precise control.”

Additionally, the new enhanced technology minimizes the optical distance between the backlight and the diffuser, eliminating bloom, reducing the aura effect, and avoiding LED light overlap. The new feature is combined with the anti-reflective panel to create pictures with better contrast and deeper black people.

On the software side, there is a new color optimization algorithm to improve accuracy. The Halo control system also adds a bidirectional 23-bit backlight controller that controls brightness over 65,000 levels for each LED particle. There is also a new algorithm, “intelligent optimization” incoming SDR signals at “close to the HDR level”.

The QM7K comes with Bang & Olfusen speakers and chooses a size boat with a dock bracket. Sizes range from 55 inches to 115 inches. Prices range from the smallest price from $1,300 to about $1,300 to 115-inch monsters with prices up to $20,000. Now, traditional sizes are available for retailers nationwide, with large models coming soon. Some purchases come with a $500 visa gift card, which is a good bonus.
