The Delta Kids icon doesn’t look like a lot, but I find myself impressed with everything I offer at such a good price. The seat has a good filling and feel and has a belly stick that you can easily grab when folded. The frame is compact but still tall enough to accommodate my tall one. It comes with a cup holder, despite its small size, I just want to use it for a toddler water bottle and I often knock it off the stroller frame when it’s glued to my trunk, which is annoying. At 15.6 pounds, it’s a little bit more weight than some of our other draft picks, but lighter than the aforementioned Bugaboo and is still easy to carry. It folds very much and can stand up too. Also, unlike Bugaboo, you can carry this with you on your belly bar. The storage basket is enough to hold my backpacking diaper bag.
Delta Children says the stroller is approved to fit overhead compartments, and the stroller’s size (10.9 x 16.5 x 23.6 inches) makes it a little thinner than the Bugaboo above, though still a little bigger than your standard carry-on size. But even with this small size, you need to check the rules about strollers. It doesn’t have any baby car seat adapters or compatibility, which is a frustrating one. Another frustrating thing is that this stroller is short-I’m 5’4″ and if I wear tall shoes I’ll find myself gently bent over to push this stroller.

★For higher parents: The Ergobaby Metro+ ($299) reminds me a lot of Delta kids icons, but it has adjustable handlebars, so it’s a better option for tall parents. (Adjust adjustable handlebars are found on travel strollers!) It is also a compatible car seat, so it’s better if you want to use it earlier, and the seats are a little bigger, so your child may be longer than other affordable strollers. Although it has a stronger frame than an icon, it is not as easy to fold or fold as an icon or other choice, and is not as easy to carry. But if you are really high, you may be happy to deal with these issues to be easier to reach.
