Russia’s defense ministry said in a telegram that it had intercepted 158 Ukrainian drones overnight, affecting several regions. It does not specify any degree of damage.
The governor said in the Orenburg area near Kazakhstan that although no casualties or damage were reported, there was a military airport.
The Russian Telegraph Channel also claimed to have launched attacks on Modsdok Air Force Base in the North Caucasus and Engels Air Force Base in Volgal in western Russia. These reports cannot be verified independently.
Russian airports are temporarily closed
Russian aviation authorities said that due to safety issues, takeoff and landing at airports in Volgagrad, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Ulyanovsk and Grozny were suspended for several hours. Such restrictions have become a common restriction in Ukrainian drone attacks.
