The Israeli military said it launched ten missiles from Israel’s Gaza Strip on Sunday.
A military spokesman said most of the projectiles were intercepted.
Military forces of Palestinian extremist group Hamas have claimed responsibility for the attack, the heaviest rocket fire in Gaza in months.
According to the Israel Rescue Agency, shrapnel bullets in the southern Israeli city of Ashkron were slightly injured.
A military spokesman said a road and several parked vehicles were also damaged in the city on the Israeli coast north of the Gaza Strip.
