The Ministry of Health says death toll in Gaza has increased to 52,000 and Israel continues to attack

Palestinian officials say The Gaza War Israel continued its offensive on the territory after ending a ceasefire with Hamas in March, killing more than 52,000 people.
Hamas – The Ministry of Operations and Health said in its latest update that the total number of 52,243 people includes nearly 700 bodies, recently completing the documentation process. Israel ends ceasefire Hamas launched a surprise bombing on the territory on March 18 and has since gone on strike every day. Ground forces expanded a buffer zone surrounding the southern city of Rafa, which now controls about 50% of the territory.

Israeli authorities say updated offense and tightening blockades are intended to force Hamas to release the kidnapped hostages On October 7, 2023, the attack sparked a war. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to continue the war until Hamas was destroyed or disarmed and all hostages were returned.
Hamas said it will release only the remaining 59 hostages (24 of whom are considered alive) in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, a lasting ceasefire and evacuation from all Israel in Gaza, as requested in January in the now-defunct ceasefire.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Sunday that talks with Hamas in recent days showed that the group was more open and the agreement exceeded a ceasefire and was targeted to enduring resolutions with Israel.

In the October 7 attack, Hamas-led militants killed about 1,200 people, most of them civilians, and killed 251 hostages. Since then, most people have posted in a ceasefire agreement or other transactions.
Gaza’s Hamas-controlled Gaza Ministry of Health said women and children make up most of the Palestinian deaths, but did not say how many militants or civilians were. It said another 117,600 people were injured in the war.
Israel said it has killed about 20,000 militants and provided no evidence. The military said it tried to avoid harming civilians and blamed Hamas for their deaths as militants operate in densely populated areas.
