hill It is one of those animated sitcoms that manages to maintain its lasting power despite longevity and cancellation. It has always been an interesting, kind, and sometimes clumsy exploration of modern American life.
With the show back fifteen years after the shelf, many fans wonder how the Hill and its gathered friends and neighbors adapted to this era after such a huge social change during the transition period.
OK, good or bad, hill Still feels like its ancient self, but not necessarily the oldest self.
The following season hill
I love hill But, even I admit, as it enters the seasons later, the show begins to steadily integrate into the serviceable quality rhythm. The show is still pleasant and may have occasional highlights, but it has never been similar to the show’s early performances.
For as many updates as you need to do in Season 14, hill I think this is not the locked state of the locked program. At least in terms of its quality. Story, there are some great updates like Bobby Hill now owns a German-Japanese fusion restaurant or Boomhauer as stepfather. But, in terms of mood, tone and excellence, it’s not far from the show’s resonance in Season 13.
The familiar sword of the double-edged sword
To some extent, it is worth celebrating. hill The whole show is not necessarily radical update. This is still the series you will remember. This is comforting, but sometimes it can step on the feeling of being too comfortable or nostalgic. So it actually disappoints some of the structural decisions this season.
Bobby, for example, has something to do with how he feels about Connie Souphanousin’s phone. While the show certainly does multi-part plot and eventful stories that make a significant change in the world, the character’s concentrated seasonal arc feels more modern and full of potential. This means planning the plot in a way that must best reinforce a particular ongoing story.
So Bobby’s story is a fascinating one because it has the right time hill. These structural goals take precedence over anything that tries to successfully serialize. This is by no means a spoiler of this season, but if hill To be more ambitious about the character’s story and arc, they may need to approach this element with more ambitions. I want to see a serialized season hill may be.
As before
besides, hill Still working at that basic sitcom level. There are a lot of worthwhile topics and goals this season – the plot of Hank and his half-brother Hank going to Manosphere Boot Camp is the highlight of Hank’s usual usual collapse – and the show remains an effective forum for satirical work.
If you like hill When it airs in 2010, you will love its revival in 2025. It’s nothing revolutionary or outstanding, but its performance and all the same drawbacks and features are the same show. Yes.
