Authorities say actor Woody Harrelson and comedian Bill Maher’s West Hollywood marijuana dispensary were stolen early Saturday morning.
Five men broke the distribution’s front window at 8271 Santa Monica Avenue and then stole the marijuana product, according to the West Hollywood station in Los Angeles County Sheriff’s West Hollywood. She said deputies responded to the break-in at 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
Authorities have not estimated the value of the stolen items. The woods feature a cannabis consumption lounge, private smoking cottages with TV and air conditioning, a bar selling cannabis drinks and a garden full of plants in Ganja Giggle. The 8,000-square-foot store and outdoor smoking oasis opened in 2022.
Security camera videos circulated on social media show people smashing windows with hoodies and masks, looting stores and stuffing merchandise into bags.
The break-in comes two days after authorities suspected it was the theft in the Erba Markets weed pharmacy in Sortle. Erba Markets Pharmacy founders Devon Wheeler and Jay Handal are also co-founders of the Woods. The Sheriff’s Department said it is not clear whether the incidents are connected.
According to a department spokesman, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a shooting at 4:26 a.m. in the 12000 block of West Pico Avenue at 4:26 a.m. after the suspect tried to break into the business. KTLA News reported that a security guard at Erba market shot after three or four suspects tried to enter the pharmacy with a crowbar.
