The Young and the Restless: Sharon’s nightmare isn’t over yet – her deadliest enemy has been resurrected?

Given that head writer Josh Griffith seems hell-bent on terrorizing Sharon with villains from her past, we’re going to discuss who else might be returning.

Matt Clark returns to ‘The Young and the Restless’

So, first of all, with the return of Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), many fans are clamoring for the return of his semi-reluctant partner in crime, Tricia Dennison (Sabrine Ginette). Now, if you weren’t watching, let’s be honest, Matt is a weirdo. He’s a rapist who terrorized and assaulted Sharon and framed Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for jailing. Tricia helps Matt frame Nick for drug charges.

But Matt and Tricia weren’t in love or anything. You know, they’re not together. In reality, Matt drugged Tricia and raped her, driving her nearly insane. To her credit, at one point, she actually stopped Matt from attacking and raping Sharon again. Tricia then takes Matt into her car and drives off a cliff Thelma and Louise style. Fortunately, Tricia survived, but Matt was seriously injured and was presumed dead. That’s when he pulled out his breathing tube and tried to frame Nick’s death.

After that incident, Tricia did a lot of bad things. Matt’s ghost is basically a hallucination in her head telling her to do evil things. Kind of like what Cameron Kirsten’s (Lyndon Ashby) vision tells Sharon to do. Ian Ward (Ray Wise) was recently seen talking to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Additionally, Tricia drugged Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), raped him, and then beat herself so that she was covered in bruises so she could go to the police.

Tricia accuses Victor of raping her, and he goes to jail because of Tricia. Later, she crashes Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) wedding wearing a dress identical to the bride’s and holds the groom at gunpoint after locking Victoria in a wardrobe. When Tricia breaks free, she attempts to shoot the bride. But eventually killed the groom and she was sent to a mental hospital. the young and the restless Could have made for an epic double twist. They could have cast Tamara Braun to play Tricia. But according to Sienna’s private conversations with husband Mitch (aka Matt), they’re not doing that.

Unless Tricia had plastic surgery and lied to Matt and cheated on him for a long time. If Tamara were to reprise her role as Tricia, she wouldn’t be grilling Mitch about whether he was really Matt Clark. But they could still bring her back. You see, Tricia is on the loose and stalking Matt for revenge, while he stalks Sharon, Nick, and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) for revenge. It would be smart, soapy, and funny, but as we all know, Josh Griffith isn’t a particularly creative thinker.

Frank Barrett: Deadbeat father turned dangerous blackmailer

So another villain from Sharon’s past isn’t as scary as Matt or Cameron, but could be a worthy adversary depending on how they write his return. So, this guy named Frank Barritt (Phil Dozois) pressured Sharon into having sex with her in high school and got her pregnant with twins Mariah and Cassie Newman (also played by Camryn Grimes). Frank was so shocked when Sharon told him she was pregnant that he said, “No, I’m out.” He wanted no part of it.

You may remember that someone stole Maria to Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and he raised her while Sharon never knew anything about Maria. Then another twin, Cassie, was adopted, but Sharon later took her back and raised her. So, yes, Frank is a jerk and a deadbeat dad, but not evil. At least not yet. But fast forward 20 years, he’s back to blackmail Sharon, and Frank is trying to get close to Cassie. After years of deadbeats, he showed some interest in his daughter.

Frank Won’t Stop Terrorizing Sharon on Y&R

So Frank is extorting money from Sharon. At the time, Cassie knew nothing about her biological father. Sharon then begs Frank to leave her alone and go away. But he didn’t. He did get something in return, but then he wanted more, he stalked and threatened Sharon to try to get what he wanted, she was distraught, he kept pressuring her, and it all took its toll on Nick and Sharon’s marriage, which was kind of shaky at the time.

But did you know that Frank was killed by Sharon’s other psychological stalker, Cameron, who then framed Sharon for the murder? For a while they thought Frank’s body was really Cameron’s, then they discovered it was Frank. So Sharon gets arrested and it’s a total nightmare and then Cameron is killed, but he comes back after all these years, like two years ago, and then Sharon stabs him to death hoping to kill Cameron once and for all.

Frank Back worse than ever on The Young and the Restless?

So yes, the young and the restless Definitely bringing back another one of her dead exes. You know, Frank could show up alive to terrorize and torture Sharon, just like Matt and Cameron did. I mean, if Josh Griffith is just recycling old enemies, I guess, you know, keep them coming. After years of rancor, we could have had Frank back. Maybe he shows up and decides to kill Sharon because now that Cameron did it, he can’t kill her in revenge. I’m sure Frank will blame Sharon for Cameron killing him. Of course, soap death is easily reversible. So, Frank’s plan may be scrapped.

Ian Ward: The cult leader who could return at any time

OK Of course, another tormentor from the past who is still alive and could return at any time is Ian Ward. Everyone thought Victor shot him, but the former cult leader survived. We last see him in an ambulance, apparently alive and ready to escape. So they recently brought back Ray Wise, but he was just Maria’s hallucination in a mental hospital. But the writers kept Ian alive for a reason, and it was probably to do bad things to Sharon again.

Skye Newman: Can Adam’s ex-wife survive a volcanic eruption?

But I want to talk about one last enemy from the past. This is a woman who is said to be dead and may want revenge on Sharon for killing her. I’m talking about Skye Newman (Lara Stone). now we all know the young and the restless Loves bringing people back to life, but this death is dramatic and crazy. If you don’t remember this chick or why she wanted revenge on Sharon, let me quickly remind you.

Skye was a friend of Adam Newman’s from the Michael Mooney days. Skye and Adam went to Harvard together. When Adam faked his death to avoid criminal charges and ran away to Brazil, Skye was by his side, where they hung out. But then he’s taken back to Genoa City for trial, with Skye on his tail, and she pays for Adam’s top criminal lawyers in exchange for business offers. Basically, Skye wanted the name Newman, so he married her.

But Adam and Skye had problems, she slept with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), making Adam jealous, and later Skye conspired with Victor and they faked her death to frame Adam. Now, then, back then, Sharon had fallen in love with Adam and wanted to exonerate him. Sharon goes to find Skye to prove that she’s alive and that Adam didn’t kill her. So Sharon finds her in Hawaii and she confronts Skye and they argue like people do on the edge of a volcano. When Skye falls over the edge, Sharon tries to pull her up.

But Sharon isn’t strong enough, and Skye (Lara Stone) falls into the volcano’s doom. Adam was proven not guilty of killing Skye, but then Sharon was charged, but they later determined that Skye’s death was an accident. That was 15 years ago in 2010. So, yeah, it’s a long shot to explain how Adam’s ex-wife survived lava death, but I mean, come on. They’ve brought people back from the literal dead. Once Matt Clark is dealt with, I do wonder if they’ll bring back one of the other villains for Sharon to be eliminated once and for all.
