This Tennessee bachelor party had an unexpected guest. Watch the video

The guest did not attend the party.
A black bear wanders in an outdoor bachelor party in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The video was posted to Tiktok on July 24 by Brooke Willman.
When the party took place on a nearby balcony, the women found a bear near it. The bear drove to the parked car and headed to the open grill where there were several steaks.
Although the bear wasn’t on the guest list, it enjoyed a big steak anyway. After all, this is a bear look!
The bears stayed in the area for about 20 minutes before boarding the outdoor balcony of the celebration.
Of course, the bear must stop and admire the decoration of the paws before sitting at the bride’s table.
Ironically, the theme of the party? “She found her honey.” So at least the existence of the Gatlinburg bear is the subject.
Virus Bear Videos May Spend
Often, you’ll see a viral video circulating online about black bears entering a store, a house, or other place. In some cases, such sightings can lead to the death of the bear.
In 2024, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Bureau was forced to euthanize 31 bears. That’s 12 more bears than the four-year average in East Tennessee. Not all bears are euthanized for their behavior. TWRA numbers also include putting down injured animals.
TWRA will present any potential threats to people, stealing food directly from people or entering bears in the house. “Public safety will lead the bears,” said Dan Gibbs, head of the bear program at Twra.
Even if it keeps people safe, Gibbs or his team is not easy for the bears.
“Just because we put people on bears doesn’t mean it’s not difficult for us to do that,” Gibbs said.
What to do if you see a black bear
If you see a black bear in East Tennessee, don’t approach it. Keep distance between adult bears, especially cubs.
In June, you are more likely to see black bear cubs in East Tennessee. Even if you can’t see the mother of the pup, don’t pick up the pup or touch it.
bearwise.org suggests some basic guides to help people get safe in black bear encounters, depending on where the bear you see.
-
If the bear is in your backyard, keep a safe distance and make loud noises to scare the tber. Make sure it has disappeared before releasing any pets or removing items that may attract it.
-
If the bear is in the woods, retreat slowly and quietly. Never run, as this may trigger a bear’s chase reaction.
-
If you are approached by a bear, stand up and try to be as big as possible. Make a loud sound.
-
If the black bear charges, use bear spray. If it is contact, use your surroundings to fight back. Don’t play to death.
