Three dead and one injured in Nanmen domestic violence case

At the South Gate, two women were shot to death and a third woman was wounded by a male relative who later committed suicide, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Officials said the shooting appeared to be a case of domestic violence.
Early Saturday, officers with the South Gate Police Department pulled over in the 8400 block of St. Louis Avenue after receiving a 911 call that a man had fired shots inside her residence, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, the suspect fired at officers as he left the residence, and officers returned fire, striking the man. The man returned inside and officers heard more gunfire.
Once inside, officers found a woman in her 70s suffering from a gunshot wound. The woman was taken to hospital and is in stable condition, police said.
The two women killed, a 25-year-old and a woman in her early 50s, were also shot. The man was found dead from what the Sheriff’s Department described as a “self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
The weapon used by the man to shoot at Southgate police was found at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
The Sheriff’s Department said it is investigating the incident, including the officer-involved shooting.
