Tiger Woods designed Augusta course becomes the focus

Tiger Woods isn’t in the Masters this year, but he’s there spiritually, and his love for Augusta National was officially announced through an announcement with Fred Ridley.
Augusta National is redesigning and renovating Augusta Municipal Golf Course (renamed Patch), while Woods is hired as the lead designer of a brief course built on the grounds of the first nearby Tee, which shares the boundaries with Augusta Muni.
The course should be called “loop” in the patch, which is a few months since the announcement, and we have given us a lot of peeks, even a clever logo, but never looked at the route. so far.
The patch’s Instagram account has obviously been taken over by the Augusta National content team, which brings a clear sense of quality to everything they do. On this account, Woods’ time clips on site, high-quality turf is brought to the course, and even some white sand bunkers that look a lot like Augusta’s country.
But, until Thursday, Woods’ short layout was always designed to blur in the rendering.

Run along Damascus Road and on a runway at the local airport, the patch’s loop will be nine clicks. Between the course and the airport, there will be a street called Jim Dent Way, an ode to Pro Golfer and Augusta natives who died in May, one of the best black golfers of all time, who shaped his game in the patch.
“This patch means a lot to me because it’s the first time that Augusta has had enough pride to put my name on the road. To me, seeing my name is big, and on my name, there are a lot of people who think of it.”
This path will lead to a brand new club that will be located between short-term and large classes. Nearby will be a 25,000-square-foot putter course, putter green and short play area for the local first tee.
Recent Instagram posts are filled with videos of workers spraying on the green, and it’s the entire process of preparing for the course to open in 2026. To better appreciate the clubhouse and course construction, local photographer Katie Goodale took a lot of pictures for Ougusta Chronicle, which you can find here.
Believe this is the first public rendering of Tiger Woods, who designed a short course in Augusta’s patch, called Loop.
In partnership with Augusta National, it was built on site at the local first serving area about three miles from ANGC. Imagine that during Masters Week it will be overwhelmed by people. pic.twitter.com/jah9pra46n
