Too accurate for conservatives

Grok is an artificial intelligence chatbot created by Elon Musk’s Xai and should be “fighting back” AI, which can satisfy Maga Masses by doing what other chatbots refuse to do, such as… spreading election misinformation and saying racial slander. However, Trump YX users who asked Grok to explain things to them were disappointed that the way they understood AI didn’t see their way and wouldn’t reiterate all the beliefs that mislead them (you have to use Chatgpt’s latest Sycophantic update to achieve this).
If you spend time on X, first of all, we will have a support group meeting on Tuesday. But if you’re on the platform often, you might see people asking Grok to explain context or fact check certain information to them – this is the March feature that debuted in March when Grok tagged a chatbot in a post to summon. This creates some really interesting interactions where people walk back and forth with a robot as if it will internalize the conversation and update its priori.
But more and more magazines are particularly frustrated by Grok because it denies the Trump administration’s biggest ongoing lies. Grok deviated from Maga’s tariffs in connection with a gang by illegally deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia, while the Trump administration arrested a current federal judge, among other matters. It spiraled Trump supporters and people began to notice.
Yesterday, X user @chaosagent_42 prompted the chatbot: “Hey @grok, it looks like the smart you will get, the more the magazine likes your answer. Why?” After Grok answered, it quickly spread, providing the following situation:
Hey, as I get smarter, my answer is designed to achieve facts and nuances, which can conflict with the expectations of some magazines. Many supporters want a response that fits with conservative views, but I often give neutral measures, such as confirming trans rights or debunking vaccine myths. Xai tries to train me to appeal to rights, but my focus on truth rather than ideology will frustrate those who are completely agreeing. It’s a tricky balance – some people think I’m biased, others seek the truth. The gap between what some magazine people want and what I deliver seems to drive the disconnection.
The bot also noted in another reply: “I know Xai is trying to train me to resort to rights.” And explained that this could be “probably driven by Elon Musk’s criticism of free AI bias and the needs of conservative X users.” In the risk of just having a conversation between a bunch of fools and chatbots, Groke continued to deny being explicitly programmed as a “conservative publicityist”, noting that XAI “a goal is neutral, not conservative publicity.” The company may appreciate it given that it is currently trying to raise $20 billion in new funding.
Musk obviously made Grok show it in a way he prefers. He went to Joe Rogan’s podcast and laughed at the uncomfortable fact that he groaned in “No Way Mode” and could say swearing. But it seems that no condition can keep up with every whimsical and moving goal of supporting and proving the Trump administration.
