“You don’t know the pressure I put on Russia,” he said.
Regarding Russia’s concessions, Mr. Trump replied: “Stop the war, stop taking the entire country – a considerable concession.”
In response to Trump’s criticism of Crimea, Zelenskyy released a 2018 statement from Trump’s then Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who said U.S. policy does not recognize Russia’s attempt to annex Crimea.
