Trump will provide Ukraine with more Patriot missiles as he calls Putin to end the war
Donald Trump said he was considering sending more Patriot missile systems to Ukraine as he renewed the call from Russian leader Vladimir Putin to end the war.
The president added that he did not rule out a new defense assistance program when he spoke to reporters at the Dutch NATO summit on Wednesday.
Trump surrounded himself with advisers of isolationists, who openly opposed Kiev’s ongoing support, and he replied: “We will see what happens” when asked whether the United States would contribute to a part of the Ukrainian war in a portion of the ongoing support of 32 members Bloc, a promised NATO allies.

Speaking at a closed-sitting press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump said Mr. Trump said there was “a lot of spirit” in Ukraine’s fight against Ukraine’s invasion of Putin, ordered in February 2022.
Trump also appears to blame Putin for the continuation and escalation of the war, marking a huge reversal in his controversial Oval Office meeting with Zelensky earlier this year.
“Vladimir Putin really has to end this war,” the president said. “People are dying horizontally that people have never seen before for a long time.”
After Russian leaders proposed to end hostilities between Israel and Iran, he told reporters how he rebuked Putin on a recent call, stressing that he would rather end the conflict in Ukraine.

He later added that Putin was “more difficult” than Zelensky, and Trump established a controversial relationship with Zelensky back to his first term when a scandal broke with the Ukrainian leader’s phone call, which led to his first in two impeachment trials in the Senate.
Trump’s relationship with Putin has long been more friendly, but in recent months, Trump has mocked both sides’ efforts as Russian dictators continue to explode civilian targets with drones and missiles on Ukraine, killing thousands of Trumps at the negotiating table.
In April, he was so angry at Putin’s attack on civilians that he realized the truth to exhort Russian leaders to stop the attack and participate in the negotiation table, writing: “Vladimir, stop every week! 5,000 soldiers are dying. Let’s complete the peace deal!”
Since then, Putin has raised the possibility of severe sanctions on Moscow if he refuses efforts to achieve a three-year-old conflict in the efforts of the U.S.-led.

The president’s perception of the war changed, and Putin’s culprit became obvious, when he had an emotional exchange with reporters for the BBC’s Ukrainian service, who asked if the United States was ready to sell more Patriot anti-air missiles to Ukraine.
Last year, the Biden administration announced that they would prioritize delivering Patriot interceptors to Ukraine due to accelerated Russian air strikes on civilians and infrastructure, but Kiev had to expand its use of missiles and had low usage rates on them.
Trump asked reporters if she currently lives in Ukraine, when she replied that she was in Warsaw with the children while her husband was still in Ukraine.
The president replied: “That’s a rough thing.” He asked the reporter again to confirm that she lives outside Ukraine and serves as a reporter, answering “OK” when she answered yes.
“Let me tell you, they [Ukraine] He said they called it Patriots, we are going to have anti-missile missiles, and we will see if we can offer something available. ”
Trump added that the weapon was “hard to obtain” and “very effective”, while acknowledging that the United States has been prioritizing Israeli supplies during the ongoing war in the country.
“They do want to want more than anything else,” he said, before praising her “very good question” and told her to “say hello” to his husband.
Trump is clearly open to Ukraine to provide more U.S. aid to Ukraine, and NATO’s 32 member states promised to “reaffirm” what they call “lasting sovereignty commitment to support Ukraine,” saying Ukrainian security efforts contribute to NATO’s own security.
The alliance also promises to include “direct donations to Ukraine’s defense” as part of efforts to meet the threshold for paying 5% of GDP.
