UAE Home Office Association and Hong Kong College Team
To strengthen the relationship between the two major global wealth hubs, the UAE Home Office Association (EFOA) and the Hong Kong Wealth Heritage Institute (HKAWL) signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU).
The purpose of the agreement is to strengthen cooperation, knowledge sharing and capacity building between the UAE and the Greater China Family Office.
Alliances are an important milestone for both organizations as they work to assist the expanding home office ecosystem and build more cohesive, professional and forward-looking networks across borders.
Founded in 2023, Hong Kong Wealth Heritage College is a rapidly growing institution dedicated to developing the quality of home offices. It provides education, network opportunities and thought leadership to family principals, next generation leaders and single-family career practitioners. Its mission is closely aligned with the mission of EFOA, an independent group that supports global home offices based in the UAE and globally through advocacy, education and international advocacy.
The new memorandum of understanding shows general ambitions to improve training and development programs while elevating Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong as key players in home offices around the world.
Adam Ladjadj, Founder and Chairman of EFOA, said: “HKAWL is the primary institute for the home office ecosystem and is a natural partner for EFOA to work with EFOA as we promote collaboration and knowledge sharing between member bases. Collaboration and knowledge sharing between the home office industry is expanding rapidly. Regionally and globally, it is crucial to learn new and establish new learning opportunities.
EFOA Board Member Fahad Al Gergawi shared: “We were pleased to identify HKAWL as an organization that engages audiences aligned to EFOA, focusing on family principals, next-gens and Single-Family Office leaders. Our members now can lean on a regionally connected partner to help them navigate the cross-border connections that are often opaque and costly to authenticate in Asia, and vice versa for the HKAWL network looking to the Middle East.”
HKAWL representatives also celebrated the cooperation, highlighting the growing demand for international cooperation in home offices.
“As HKAWL cultivates a growing family peer network, we rely on more similar partners to expand the cohort network. We are excited to promote further collaboration between Asia and the Middle East through this partnership with EFOA,” said Angel Chia, Executive Director of HKAWL.
