Vice President JD Vance faces opposition amid shocking allegations of birthday party: “very outrageous”

For most of us, a day on the lake means finding the right location and heading there. For Vice President JD Vance, this means adopting a morally questionable and government resources approach to building the perfect lake birthday party.

Vance’s team allowed the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to change the outflow of Caesar Creek Lake in Ohio to get his 41st birthday revelry, The Guardian reported.

Manual adjustments to lake outflows can sometimes prevent flooding and help mitigate potential safety risks. In this case, the reason is to “support secure navigation of U.S. Secret Service personnel” and, according to anonymous sources from The Guardian, to fashion “ideal kayak conditions.”

In short, the vice president’s lake level was adjusted to host a kayak-themed birthday party.

While such actions by public officials or numbers are not usually shocking, Vance has caused significant anger at the use of public infrastructure, as he is a major demolition of the National Park Service and similar organizations, and he is part of him.

Although the Trump administration expressed interest in NPs through efforts to increase park revenue, the overall staff cuts have a greater impact.

A report from the National Park Conservancy noted: “The National Park Service has lost 24% of its permanent staff since the Trump administration took office. … The remaining park workers are asked to do more with less speed, which is simply unsustainable.”

Although there were no accusations of Vance of doing anything illegal for his party, the Guardian spoke with ethics experts, including former White House special counsel for moral and government reform, Norm Eisen and an ethics lawyer who served in the George W. Bush administration, Richard Painter, and vice president, all involved issues with the action.

The painter called Vance’s request “quite outrageous,” and Eisen said, “I would never allow such a thing. … It created the appearance that the vice president of the United States is receiving special treatment.”

“While there will likely be an explanation or reason for analysis related to security, my reaction is: I don’t care. We shouldn’t use government resources in this way,” Eisen added.
