Who is alive, who dies, who tells the story of Vatto?

this Star Wars Last month, the community shook Watto, Watto, Watto, toydarian garbage dealer and former slave owner of the former Anakin Skywalker. But now it’s time for us, and like all good stories, things are more interesting than they seemed at first.

Issue 2 Vader’s legacyThis week by writers Charles Soule, artists Luke Ross and Nolan Woodard and Joe Caramagna, this week, with young Kylo Ren, along with Darth Vader’s Hot Clocioto, along with Darth Vader’s former Darth Vader’s former satellite, explored Vader’s titular titular titular Legacy in his first stop on his new “Let the Fast Die” tour. Throughout the first issue of the series, the theme here is related to Anakin’s life and his legacy: it’s about the perception of narrative, things that are different from truth, and the power that is in projecting and displaying such narratives.

This is where Ren and Vaneé are different. Kylo The Last Jediaiming to control his story, and in a destructive way to control the story before him: He constantly tells Vane that things about Vader’s history as Anakin Skywalker should be eliminated and eliminated; he literally took the lightsaber and used it to carve outbursts of confusion about Anakin’s name in the list of winners of Boonta Eve Classic. To Kylo Ren need At that moment of this question-no longer exists, just as he has to do with his raising himself.

Vaneé, on the other hand, exerted the power of Vader’s actual narrative in history, revealing to Ren that he knew Vader’s history because he had been laughing at Palpatine’s secret archives on his apprentice. Even if we know that Vaneé is misunderstanding what the past means to Vader – he insists on his pain and anger rather than eventually seeing Anakin deliver on his connection – he once again makes the entire case here give Kylo Ren, which makes someone’s history unavoidable to our understanding of them.

It is this ideological push that brings us and our players to this moment Star Wars Fans have been waiting since previewed last month. To find out who dares to enslave the powerful Darth Vader, Ren asked him to take him to Vatto’s garbage dump and found him empty and in disrepair. Here we caught a glimpse of the panel in the preview last month: Imagined through Vader’s eyes, but it does ImagineWhen Ren speculates on his opinion of his grandfather’s mind. The garbage dump was abandoned because must Back, at the highest point of his control over the dark side, and then massacred Vatto. He must have done that because that’s what Kylo Ren wants to Vader’s legacy and pass it through its own legacy (to him it’s a fair guess, a fair guess, a fair guess because it’s a man, although it’s much different and more interesting for reasons that are very different from Ren’s, but it’s more interesting than Ren’s understanding).

But that’s not the case, at least according to Vaneé. Vader has other things to do, except for Kylo Ren imagined that Watto lived so many ways. Maybe still alive, evenVader’s legacy #2 didn’t tell us one way or another explicitly, it was just that Vader didn’t kill him. Vatto could have died, he could have given up on the junk trade and moved on, we don’t know. Which one It’s the point.

Star Wars Fans like facts. Who dies, who lives, who does what, when, where and how. The normative interpretation of its story drives a shift in debate analysis, which in many ways has been overhauled and reset to re-filled facts over the decade, thus shaping the consumption of this narrative. The fact that Watto dies is more important than Watto himself, simply because of the intellectual curiosity we do not have. Know it. He never had a “Canon” death in the old expanded universe, Vader’s legacy #2 laughed at him as possible. This is important because Vatto is a fact. The fact that he was Anakin Skywalker’s life is a data point worth mentioning, and he stands out for the little we know and around, which is important to the story that brings these facts. I would imagine that few people really care or Vatto is dead or alive Vader’s legacy He laughed at his fate compared to the number of people who longed for what, when, where and how.

However, the fact that we don’t know the fate of the character seems to be important to the tapestry of a person we have spent nearly fifty years in life is so much more interesting that “Darth Vader returns to Tatooine and kills the unwell anti-Semitic stereotype he had when he was a kid”. It’s not that Soule was writing about Vader, nor was it “Canon” for his lightsaber, it’s a mediocre origin story, one might imagine some grander truths against the idea, i.e. Star Wars‘The story must have some reservations, powerful, Important Facts are the root cause.

This is located Vader’s legacySo far, this story adapts to preconceived assumptions about the way we tell stories (the ways that can be chopped and changed, the ways that can be confused, and most importantly, some parts of the story are not as grand and important as we might think. Sometimes a dead toy magician is just a dead toy magician. Unless they may still be alive- maybe we will never know the truth is the best.
