Is the Mac Mini too mini for you? Apple’s latest product (which certainly isn’t “air”, as CEO Tim Cook suggested on Monday) is Mac Studio, which now supports the company’s state-of-the-art chip infrastructure. Buyers can choose one recording studio, but instead two versions of the M3 Ultra or M4 Max.
If you choose the M3 Ultra, you will cost at least $4,000. This version starts with 96 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The M4 Max version starts at $2,000 and only has 36 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage. The M4 Max is a known entity as it first arrived with the MacBook Pro in 2024. The smaller Mac Mini only supports M4 Pro. The system is available for pre-order today and is scheduled to ship on March 12.
