Why the newly revealed villain in “Superman Sequel” is absolutely perfect

James Gunn is a master of nerds Superman 2,title Tomorrow’s people. It’s just the cover, but the image (a anatomical close-up of a man’s head is his brain) seems to largely suggest that Iron Man will fight Brainiac in his next solo film.
While some fans are worried about villain choices (more like people who are more down-to-earth like Metal), the truth is, the head is Perfect New DCU villains fight for Superman.

Brainiac is a novel choice because we have never seen Superman fight this character in a live-action movie. The villain is the staple food of comics, Superman: Animation Seriesbut in real people, the computer version of this iconic villain only appears in Little Weill and kryptondisplaying a very limited budget. It’s nice to see Brainiac on the big screen and powered by the same large budget, which will hopefully be just for this character, a person who is the main threat in the galaxy.
Speaking of which, Brainiac is a good choice for Superman villain, and he effectively raises the stakes for this movie series. exist Supermanall metropolis are in danger due to the out-of-control cracks that have caused millions of cities. So, this sequel introduces a bigger threat, which is appropriate, which makes the dangers of the first film feel trivial. Brainiac is an external threat that can easily threaten the entire whole worldthis should be an effective high-risk sequel.

As an additional bonus, Brainiac is a threat to the entire planet and will provide the perfect excuse for Superman and Lex Luthor, and Gunn has made fun of it Superman 2. The interaction between David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult is arguably the best part SupermanI have always hoped that there will be more hope for the next movie. The invasion of the city robber Brainiac will provide a completely logical reason for the greatest heroes and greatest villains on Earth, and their lively conversation may be as interesting as any battle scene.
Brainiac doesn’t think he is a villain
In the hands of the right writer, Brainiac is also a great superman villain, because he doesn’t think he is a villain at all. Instead, he sees himself as a force of kindness, collecting and preserving various aliens and cultures throughout the galaxy. In this way, he is similar to Lex Luthor, who really thinks that by removing Superman, which is his strange outsider, he makes sure that humans no longer need to fight for themselves. It would be particularly interesting to see how Brainiac and Luthor interact: the two firmly believe that they would be superheroes if not the annoying Iron Man.

Of course, all of this assumes that Brainiac is well written, but after success SupermanI’m willing to expand some fanatical beliefs to James Gunn. Frankly, his portrayal of Iron Man has brought new life into the weary superhero genre, actually making me excited once again for tight and flying movies. And if Gunn could offer another movie with the same or higher quality with this sequel, it would establish the DCU as a true screen champion, one with the ability to do what was once impossible: Ultimately lifting the staggering MCU out of its pain.
