Bombardier announces major finance acquisition of two Challenger 650 aircraft
Bombardier (BDRBF) The Ministry of Defense announced that Principles Finance, a well-known Australian aircraft custom operation leasing provider, has acquired two Australian Bombardier Challenger 650 aircraft, which is designed to conduct intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance or ISR missions in Australia. Delivery of the two aircraft is scheduled to take place in 2026. Aircraft configured for business jets can achieve up to 11 hours of endurance, with over 99.9% scheduling reliability, an impressive 4,000 nm range. The Challenger 650 aircraft is also considered ideal for ISR missions, flying higher, faster and further than traditional airborne platforms, ensuring coverage of spacious territory and providing comparable performance to large maritime patrol aircraft, i.e. purchase and operational costs. The aircraft provides the right flexibility to complete tasks in challenging environments and have the best payload capacity to customize mission-specific equipment, a strategic advantage of next-generation solution development.
