Wolanin signs with Bruins to try out TheAHL.com

Providence Bruins sign guard Christian Wolanin Professional Trial Contract.

Wolanin won the Calder Cup with Abbotsford last season and won the Eddie Shore Award for the AHL’s Outstanding Defensive Player in the 2022-23 season. During his career, he played 238 AHL games with Abbotsford, Ontario and Belleville, scoring 24 goals, 153 assists, 177 points and a +26 rating.

The seven-year pro scored 10 points in the Canucks’ 17 playoff games last spring, including the game-winning overtime goal against Texas in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.

Wolanin, a fourth-round pick by Ottawa in the 2015 NHL Draft, has six goals and 17 assists in 86 career NHL games with Ottawa, Los Angeles, Buffalo and Vancouver.
