YouTube suspends monetization of 2 fake movie trailer accounts

A few days ago, major Hollywood studios were reportedly profiting from fake movie trailers using Generative AI. Seeing this, YouTube now decided to cut it off and paused a pair of channels known for these trailers.

YouTube closed its advertising revenue for screen culture and KH movies, based on the initial deadline for this report. The former is the most famous of the two, and founder Nikhil Chaudhari was cited in the report throughout the deadline. Some of its most famous videos are “Trailers” Fantastic Four: Step One and Superman. Meanwhile, KH Studio is Squid Game Season starring Leonardo DiCaprio and James Bond movies, starring Henry Cavill and Margot Robbie.

YouTube is hitting Screen Culture and KH Studios and claims to be violating its monetization policy. As the deadline points out, if the creator uses material made from others, significant changes must be made and the video cannot be “repeat or repeatable” or “for the sole purpose of obtaining an opinion.” Misinformation also works here, as the site prohibits content produced in a way that misleads viewers. For example, screen culture Fantastic Four The video mocked Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson’s Galactus, two characters that have not been revealed in Marvel’s trailer.

The founder of KH Studio told Deadline that his video was just to provide interesting “if” scenarios, saying it’s hard to see it grouped under ‘misleading content’ in a negative decision. My goal has always been to explore creative possibilities – don’t misrepresent the real release.” In the initial report, Choudhury took a similar stance, saying that most YouTube users knew its videos were fake and therefore had no real harm. However, he did not respond to the deadline when writing.
