Spotify service outage: Streaming fan reports problems

Our ears suffer this Wednesday as music streaming service Spotify suffers from “ongoing problems” that prevent some from getting features.

At around 6 p.m., there were a lot of reports in the case, and at the time of writing, more than 45,000 people were affected in the U.S. (DownDetector is owned by the same parent company as CNET. Spotify acknowledged the issue and posted it on its status account: “We know some of the issues now, checking them!”

A Spotify spokesperson pointed to the company’s post on X to further comment on the situation.

Different people reported different issues with Spotify. However, it seems that the most common complaint is that the search tool is not working properly. I’ve been listening to Spotify for the last few hours without any problems, but I can’t get the web player to load.

On X, people quickly posted memes about the interruption.
