In February, the passenger number of German airport operator Fraport

The company said Thursday that passenger numbers at all airports operated by Germany’s Fraport Group rose in February compared to the same month last year, while traffic at the group’s main airports fell slightly.

In February, Frankfurt Airport welcomed 3.9 million passengers, down 0.1% from the same period a year ago. In February 2024, additional leap days also increased traffic, but the positive leap annual effect was offset by strikes over the past few days of that month.

Cargo Throughput – Air Freight plus Vehicles – Frankfurt fell 0.9% year-on-year. The aircraft movement totaled 30,182 takeoffs and landings, the same as the previous year.

The accumulated maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) was slightly above 0.8% year-on-year, reaching approximately 1.9 million tons.

Fraport’s group airports worldwide had a total of 8.4 million passengers, up 0.2% from the previous year.

Slovenia’s Ljubljana Airport served 81,191 passengers in February, down 5.8% year-on-year.

In South America, Brazil’s two Fortaleza airports and Alegreport airports have lowered the total slides of traffic slides to 4% to 891,998 passengers.

By comparison, traffic at Lima Airport in Peru increased by 5.5% to approximately 2 million passengers.

In February 2025, a total of 660,389 passengers used Fraport’s 14 Greek regional airports, an increase of 3.7%.
